60. Backgrounds - Floral

My focus has been on how to incorporate fertility, chakras, femininity and so on into the backgrounds of my imagery. I chose to create a series of floral mandalas to act the the backgrounds hoping to bring in the theory requirements. However - the floral backgrounds beautiful as they are fight too much with the sisters and distract from the portraits themselves.

Not a total loss as I have been able to put these images onto my website as light-boxes.

I incorporated magnolia, also known as lotus flower tree, a true sign spring has sprung. I also tired to bring in feathers to acknowledge the bird symbolism present in many of the Seven Sister narratives. As well as a crescent moon symbol. Also I shot the images against a black background to give a sense of space and depth.
